Platform & DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)
München | Berlin | as from now
Your mission
Scaling needs a foundation that grows with it. Every day, our platform runs interactions for more than 25,000 Talents across 70+ countries, and with our growth target of €500M revenue by 2030, the bar for our cloud platform, deployment processes, and cost efficiency keeps rising. As Platform & DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) in a hybrid setup at one of our locations in Munich, Berlin, or Halle (Saale), you own our cloud platform, primarily on Microsoft Azure. You decide how we design, operate, and optimize infrastructure, with a clear focus on scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. At the same time, you keep evolving our CI/CD platform and self-service tools, enabling our engineering teams to deploy faster and more securely.
What You'll Do
Cloud Platform & Developer Enablement
- Azure Platform Ownership: You own the design, operation, and evolution of our cloud infrastructure, from compute and networking to identity and governance.
- Infrastructure as Code instead of click-ops: You develop and maintain IaC with Terraform, provide reusable modules, and automate what would otherwise be manual and error-prone.
- Evolve our CI/CD platform: You automate deployments across the entire software lifecycle and build self-service platforms that make dev teams more autonomous.
- Keep developer experience front and center: You work closely with engineering and product to continuously improve delivery processes and platform capabilities.
- Own platform reliability: You monitor performance, availability, and stability, and proactively address infrastructure and deployment issues before they become incidents.
- Security by design: Together with our CISO team, you build security controls directly into the platform and CI/CD processes, including Azure security services, policies, and benchmarks.
- Cost efficiency as a design principle: You consistently optimize infrastructure and deployment platforms for scalability, performance, and cost, from the start rather than as an afterthought.
- FinOps in practice: You build cloud cost monitoring, budgeting, and forecasting, and deliver concrete recommendations for ongoing cost optimization.
Your skillset
- Cloud Platform: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure across compute, networking, storage, identity, and governance, plus an understanding of cloud architecture principles that extends beyond Azure.
- Automation: Skilled with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM, with CI/CD pipelines built and run in production using GitLab CI/CD or comparable tools, and configuration management automated rather than manually maintained.
- Containers & Scripting: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/Nomad or Azure ACA/ACI, plus solid scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Observability & Security: Monitoring, logging, and alerting as part of daily work, applied understanding of IAM, RBAC, Zero Trust, and Privileged Identity Management, and hands-on experience with GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PCI DSS.
- FinOps: Cloud usage analysis, resource optimization, and cost-efficient architectures built into your design from the start, not an afterthought. Azure certifications, FinOps frameworks, serverless architectures, or experience with distributed or hybrid systems are a plus.
- Working Style: Analytical, solution-oriented thinking, ownership in a cross-functional environment, clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, fluent English, and a healthy sense of humor.
