Munich, 2 May 2023 – The Munich-based tech company yoummday, an omnichannel platform for outsourcing customer services, has now recruited international sales expert Verena Funke. As Vice President of Sales, Verena Funke will lead yoummday's sales in core European markets.

"yoummday combines all the trends of our time: flexibility in the working world, self-explanatory digital services, and tailor-made solutions for corporate customers. I am looking forward to harnessing my competencies in sales and service centre management in such an exciting company in my new role," Verena Funke explained her decision.

Until the end of April 2023, Verena Funke was responsible for global account management as Vice President of International Sales at SIXT. Before joining SIXT, the experienced sales expert worked for eleven years in various positions at the then Expedia and now American Express subsidiary Egencia. Most recently, she was Country Manager Director for the German business of the business travel specialist and was also responsible for strategic customer care on a global level.

“Verena Funke is an absolute top level executive. We are delighted to have been able to win her for our fast-growing company. With her many years of experience in sales and customer management, she is an excellent fit for us and will sustainably develop our company in important areas,” said yoummday CEO Dr Klaus Harisch.

With the new addition, yoummday is dividing its sales operations into three areas to better leverage its growth potential: Verena Funke oversees the core European markets. Helen Hickin, Co-Founder and CEO of the Prague-based subsidiary ICON is responsible for sales in the UK and North America, and Otto Eberdorfer, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at yoummday, is in charge of strategic partnerships within the yoummday group.

Four-hundred yoummday employees are constantly developing the proprietary work@home operating system. In addition, the global pool of around 10,000 self-employed, quality checked CX experts, called talents at yoummday, is also growing continuously. yoummday talents work in over 70 countries worldwide and benefit from a high degree of flexibility, as they can choose their clients and freely arrange their working hours. At the same time, they earn more than in a classic call centre. Due to the complete digitalisation of processes, yoummday saves on costs for offices, software, or management, which are invested in providing a higher remuneration for talents. yoummday customers, in turn, benefit from around 20 per cent lower costs and 90 per cent CO2 savings annually compared to the commissioning of classic outsourced call centres. In addition, they enjoy maximum flexibility. This creates an excellent cooperation between yoummday talents and companies, which raises the quality of customer service to a new level.

yoummday (yoummday.de) stands for "you made my day" and is one of the fastest growing outsourcing platforms in Europe. As a marketplace for 360-degree customer services, the platform differs significantly from traditional outsourcing processes: Lower costs, higher quality and security standards, DSGVO compliance, sustainable working, a high level of employee satisfaction and greater flexibility for customers are just some of the key differentiators. The yoummday platform has around 10,000 quality-assured, self-employed customer service professionals from 70 countries registered to handle customer services for businesses of all sizes. The client list ranges from start-ups to DAX companies. yoummday employs 400 permanent staff at its locations in Munich, Halle/Saale, Berlin, Prague and Sofia.
